About Dr. Pei
Hello, My name is Pei (Pei-Chun) Liao (she/her/hers).
I am a licensed psychologist in NY and WA. In addition, I am a member of the American Psychological Association and National Association of School Psychologists. Additionally, I hold national psychologist licensure in Taiwan. Currently, I hold a PSYPACT certificate, which allows me to provide telehealth services across 40 states. In September 2025, I also serve as a faculty member and licensed psychologist at North Seattle College, Washington.

My goal is to provide a safe and culturally sensitive space for you. I specialize in evidence-based treatments: Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention for anxiety and OCD, and Dialectical Behavioral Skill Coaching, and regularly integrates Acceptance and Commitment therapy into my practice.
I believe in a holistic approach to mental health. I will work collaboratively with you to develop strategies and skills that promote resilience, well-being, and personal growth. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other mental health concern, I am here to support you every step of the way.
We are registered under PSYPACT (Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact), a legally recognized agreement that allows licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology across participating states. This means you can receive therapy or psychological services from the comfort of your home, even if you live in a different state from our licensed provider.

Dr. Pei is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety in children, teens, and adults. Prior to entering private practice, she completed her practicum at Seattle Children's Hospital and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety & Related Disorders (CUCARD)- Westchester at Irving Medical Center. During her fellowship, Dr. Pei worked with clients and their families, collaborated with a team of clinical faculty, and provided group counseling for school refusal clients.
Dr. Pei received comprehensive training in psychological intervention and assessment, including an APA-accredited internship at the Hawaii Psychology Internship Consortium in Kauai, Hawaii, and externships/practicums at Auburn and Bellevue School Districts in Washington State. She works with students ranging from pre-K to high school and has extensive experience collaborating with families and school staff to support students in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school accommodations, thereby enhancing their learning experiences.
Dr. Pei has extensive experience in delivering skill coaching as part of an undergraduate resilience and wellness course aimed at providing preventative mental health services to college students in University of Washington. In this role, she helped students navigate the unique challenges of emerging adulthood. Additionally, Dr. Pei has served as a full-time counselor at a college counseling center in Taiwan, where she supported students in managing adjustment issues, life transitions, relationship challenges, and mental health concerns. Currently, she works as a faculty in a college setting to provide psychological support to students and she also offers telehealth counseling to young adults and adults (age 17 to 65) from various colleges across states, continuing her commitment to helping students thrive both personally and academically.
